Casting

When deciding who to cast, I spoke to many different people, asking if they were comfortable with the story line, and many were not. Ultimately I decided to go with Luke Uglow. He had acted in my Transition task video, and we are good friends - so I know he is reliable. He was also comfortable putting on makeup and a dress for the video. Luke is also very eccentric and confident, which is a characteristic I knew I had to find in an actor.

Choosing Luke was an example of Typage, I chose him because he fit the look and personality of the character, which would appeal to my target audience.

I also knew I'd need to enlist the help of a makeup artist. I searched around and asked a few people if they would help, and a friend of mine, Isobel, who is extremely passionate about makeup agreed to. I chose to have Isobel help because of her in depth knowledge and passion, proven by the fact that she runs a Makeup Instagram account.
